Man Surrendering At Jail Found To Be  Intoxicated
    
   A  Good Springs man who surrendered himself at the local jail Monday night was  found to be intoxicated. 
   Reports  show that Dylan Houston Burgess, age 22, of 1190 Powell School Road, Good Springs  came to the Lawrence County Detention Center shortly after 11:00 p.m. He told  officers he was wanted on a violation of probation warrant and was there to  turn himself in.  
   Officers  noted that Burgess had a strong odor of alcohol about his person and that he  exhibited signs of being intoxicated. When they asked him how much he had drunk  that night, he told them he had consumed, “Several beer.” 
   Burgess  was booked on the violation of probation charge. Due to the fact that he was in  a public place, in public view while extremely intoxicated, Burgess was also  booked on a charge of public intoxication.
 
   Burgess  is scheduled to answer the charges in Lawrence    County General Sessions Court on August 6, 2013.
